Pets. A friend of mine recently got a new puppy. Cutest thing I ever saw. My current dog, Lucy, will turn 9 on Oct. 1st. Does not seem possible. I can remember when she was the cutest thing I ever saw.

How many pets do Americans own? Google tells us that 94 million U.S. households own a pet, with a total of approximately 163.5 million pet dogs and cats. Other pets in households include 10 million U. S. households owning freshwater fish, and 6 million reptiles.

Have you considered owning a pet? What do you need to know before choosing a pet, What would be the financial responsibilities. The average costs of a pet for 2021 were Vet costs $458, Food $287, Licensing $242, Shelter $228, Vitamins $81, Vaccines $56.
