Hello. My name is Edward Red Lightning, Sr. I am a member of the Yankton Sioux Tribe and life time resident.

Over the last two years we've had the Covid Virus, isolation practice, withdraw from Afghanistan, numerous mass shootings, rioting, basically a lot of chaos.

During this time I took time to make runs to the town of Wagner via the country roads. One day, I seen a couple walking out in front of me, so I slowed down as I passed I noticed that they were holding hands walking their dog, I waved and they waved back.

It may not seem like a big deal to most but to me it gave me a warm feeling in my heart. This happened several more times through these two years and it always gave me a feeling of warmth in my heart and hope for humanity.

The rest and to me funniest part is that I don't even know their names. But again, it's nice to see that kind of love in our little corner of the world.

Thanks for letting me share.
