AVON LADY PIRATES FALL TO GAYVILLE/VOLIN RAIDERS

The Avon Lady Pirates hosted the Gayville-Volin Raiders on Monday night, where they suffered a 1-3 loss.

Rilyn Thury led the Pirates offensively with 25 kills, while Kaydence Metzger added 10 kills. Brielle Voigt recorded 1 ace serve, 15 digs, and 36 set assistsonthenight.Defensively, Jordyn Voigt, Lexi Vanderlei, and Metzger each contributed 13 digs.

The loss brings the Lady Pirates’ season record to 17-10.

LADY PIRATES SUFFER TOUGH LOSS AT BON HOMME

The Avon Lady Pirates traveled to Tyndall on Tuesday, October 28, to take on the Bon Homme Cavaliers, where they suffered a tough 0–3 loss.

Despite the setback, Avon put up a strong fight at the net. Rilyn Thury led the offense with 15 kills and added 17 digs on defense. Brielle Voigt contributed acrosstheboardwith2 kills, 21 set assists, 15 digs, and 3aceserves.KaydenceMetzger tallied 5 kills, 11 digs, and 3 aces, while Jordyn Voigt recorded 14 digs and 2 ace serves. Lexi Vanderlei added 8 digs, and Bree Vanderlei chipped in 3 kills and 3 digs.

The younger squads had strong showings as well, with thejuniorvarsityearninga2–0 victory and the C-match team taking a 3–1 win.
