HAVE YOU BEEN EXCITED-AND TELL

Pastor/Founder of the Grace Baptist Church, Lake Andes since 1988 J OHN 4:21-26

Jesus saith unto her, woman believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father.

Ye worship ye know not what, we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.

But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshipers, shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship Him.

God is a Spirit: and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and truth.

The woman saith unto Him I know that Messai cometh, which is called Christ, (God with us) when He is come, He will tell us all things.

Jesus saith unto her, I that speaketh unto thee am He. (God with us) Jesus had just had a previous conversation with the woman--who was still not sure just who Jesus was. He then gave her a short lesson about who and how to pray. She then said she believed the Messai would come. Then Jesus told her of His Identification, the Messai she was waiting for. Then He expressed to her that it was time that people would pray properly and told her God is Spirit and truth that people, true believers in God, should pray and worship Him in spirit and truth.

This lesson taught her, caused her to tell others that she had met Jesus, and others also believed.

This is what every person who meets the Lord Jesus through the Scriptures and except Jesus as their Savior should be as excited about their salvation as the woman was to meet Jesus, and go out as she did and tell others how they can be saved.

Unfortunately today many make professions for salvation that are just lip service and not a heart and soul request for salvation. They not having made a true statement of faith in Jesus, do not have the joy that salvation gives to them--consequently they do not tell others. All believers will not only tell- but will anxiously tell others as she did.

Have you been excited-- and told others?
