MATTHEW 1:18-21 18) "Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: when as hid mother was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found to be with child of the Holy Ghost. 19) Then Joseph her husband, being a just man,and not willing to make her a public example, was minded to put her away privately. 20) But when he thought of these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife:- for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. 21) And she shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins."(KJV) While every one is excited about the time of Christmas, with their shopping, and by expecting presents, and the Holiday off work, and not expecting how much they have spent on their credit cards and looking forward to bright lights and decorations, they are not spending much time in remembering that Christmas is about Jesus Christ's birth and not just about their presents. People will spend weeks planning for their personal Christmas celebrations, but will not spend a short time on Christmas Day Celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ. The only begotten Son of God. So before you get excited on Christmas morning about your gifts--remember the greatest gift to man--the birth of Jesus. We know at this time it is happy time and every one is enjoying Christmas--which is good, but we must remember that if it were not for the birth of Jesus--there would be no Christmas Day. So on Christmas Day remember the reason for the Season, let's not forget why we celebrate Christmas. Merry Christmas to you all. Do you spend time remembering whose birthday this day is?
