PSALM 143: 8 " Cause me to hear thy loving kindness in the morning; for to the do I trust; cause me to know the way wherein I should walk, for I lift up my soul unto thee."(KJV)
PSALM 5:8 " Lead me, O Lord, in thy righteousness because of mine enemies: make thy way straight before my face."(KJV)
PSALM 25:1 " Unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul."(KJV)
David is asking the Lord for His instructions as to how he should walk his walk. He wants to know how his life can be lived out for the Lord. He is serious--" I lift up my soul unto thee" was his commitment to serve the Lord all his life.
New born again Christians and all other Christians who are truly saved should ask, How should I live my life pleasing to the Lord?
Their answer today is---read your Bible, attend a Bible preaching church services, apply the message to your life.
The Bible will instruct you in all phases of your life.
Make " thy straight before my face" All our instructions are right before us--in the Bible-- when followed your path in life will be straight--blessed of God.
When the Word of God inspired you to totally live for God you will do as David did--when he said, that he lifted up his soul to the Lord. He is saying that he is in complete love love ans service to the Lord.
All Christians aught to say that they have lifted up their soul to the Lord. This is confessing that they intend to live out their life in love, and honor and service to the Lord.
How do we compare today with David's commitment to God?
