MARK 5: 35-43 "While he yet spake, there came from the Ruler of the Synagogue's house certain which said, Thy daughter is dead: Why troublest thou the master any further? As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, He saith unto the Ruler of the Synagogue, be not afraid, only believe. And he suffered (allowed ) no man to follow him, save (except) Peter and James and John the brother of James. And he cometh to the house of the Ruler of the Synagogue, and seeth the tumult, and they that wept and wailed greatly. And when he was come in, he saith unto them, Why make ye this ado, and weep? The damsel is not dead, but sleepeth. And they laughed him to scorn. But when he had put them all out, He taketh the father and the mother of the damsel, and them that were with him, and entereth in where the damsel was lying. And he took the damsel by the hand, and said unto her Tal'i-tha cu'-ali which is interpreted Damsel I say unto thee, arise. And straightway the damsel arose, and walked; for she was of the age of twelve years. And they were astonished with great astonishment. And he charged them straightly (or strictly) that no man should know it; and commanded that something should be given her to eat."(KJV)
Jesus told them that no man should know what had just happened, but for sure it was spread about.
He didn't want it spread about because He did not want to be known for raising this child, but for what He came to do
He wanted folks to believe in Him as what He was--The Son of God who came from the Father to seek and to save that which was lost.
Unfortunately his message was not adhered to, but the things that He did spread all around.
Jesus had a following, but not for His teachings so much, but to see what He would do next.
For the unbelievers He pulled a surprise when He raised from the dead, alive and then rose up into the clouds back to heaven.
The scripture MARK 5:35-43 showed those around Him that He had power over death, an example to those and to us that there is nothing that is to great a problem that Jesus can't fix.
He told them--Be not afraid, only believe. That is a good thing to think of when all else fails-call upon Jesus and believe He will do what it takes to fix your problem.
Then after He fixes your problem, don't keep it to yourself, tell others what Jesus did for you. Starting with your salvation and other things He has done for you.
Do you really believe that He will help you?
Just Thought I'd ask
