When we look back over last year our minds bring us to remember huge fires on the West Coast, many homes burned to the ground, trees burned. And then mud slides from heavy rains. and in the mid-West there were terrible storms, high winds, tornadoes with much damage. The East Coast was hit several times with extreme rains and floods, and the Southern States were hit with hurricanes. And all of these conditions were called “ act of God”.

This is very true, God said He would not flood the earth again, but He did not say He wouldn’t use the above ways to wake people up. Many people have turned their backs on God and I believe that He is not happy with them. He is showing man the He is still and always was in charge.

He created man to love, honor and to serve Him. Looking back over the year we find people denying Him, refusing to give Him the Honor that He, and He alone deserves. And by the actions of many people, they are not serving Him.

Since it is He that is in charge of all that happens and that is caused by unbelief and ignorance of Him, He has every right to show His disappointment in man today by showing His power in the weather. An interesting thought!!

What will next year be like?

LEVITICUS 26:3 “ If ye will walk in my statutes, and keep my commandments, and do them”(KJV)

EZEKIEL 11:20 “ That they may walk in my statutes, and keep mine ordinances, and do them: they shall be my people and I will be their God.”(KJV)

It is a new year, we should turn our hearts to the Lord, love Him, honor Him and serve Him as our way to live in the next year.

If mankind will turn their hearts to the Lord He will be pleased and instead of showing His disappointment in man, He will show His pleasure.

So what will the next year be like?

It will be up to all of us to turn to God and receive His blessings.

Read your Bible, pray as said in LEVITICUS 26: 3 above “...and do them.”(KJV)

This is a workable resolution, we can do it, don’t you think?
