MATTHEW 16: 13-16 "When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesrea Phillipi; he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am? And they said some say that thou art John the Baptist: some Elias and others Jeremias, or one of the prophets. He saith unto them, but whom say ye that I am? And Simon Peter answered and said, the Son of the living God."(KJV)
In this day and age there are many people who believe that Jesus was and is the only Begotten Son of God. But those same people who say they believe are the very ones who live their life as if Jesus never existed.
Jesus gave two commandments to man, 1- To love the Lord thy God with all your heart, and 2- Love thy neighbor as thyself.
Now today there are also many people who claim to be Christians. Those so called Christians are no more like Christ than the moon is made of green cheese.
Most of them have never read their Bible to see what kind of person Jesus was and consequently they cannot be Christlike because they do not know how to be.
To be a Christian is much more than being a member of some church, or being baptized, or because the family all joined some church. It is first of all, being born again, saved by the blood of Jesus, and then following the indwelling Holy Spirit's leadership, by being as Christ like in our life as we can be.
A true Christian can be recognized by what they do and by what they won't do, where they go , how they testify of how Jesus saved then. How Jesus changed their life. How much the Lord means to them. And doing what the scripture says in 11 Corinthians 6:17 "Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing: and I will receive you." (KJV)
If a person wants to claim they are a Christian they should look at theirself in a mirror and see if they fit into the definition of what a Christian is.
If they are truly a Christian they should behave as a Christian. If they are not a Christian ( one who is Christ like ) quit trying to play as if you are- the truth is obvious.
If Jesus is your savior, what do you say that He is?
