MATTHEW 13: 15,16,17
15) " For the peoples heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they closed, lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their hearts, and should be converted and I should heal them..
16) But blessed are your eyes, for they see; and your ears for they hear.
17) For verily I say unto you, that many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them, and hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them."(KJV)
This scripture was of Jesus speaking to the multitude who were standing on the shore while He spoke out of a ship. His message is the same message today.
Many people today have not read with their eyes not heard with their ears the Word of God.
Many because they are afraid that they might have to change the way they are living, by being saved and turning to the Lord.
There are many people today--including myself--who would have liked to see those things Jesus did and would like to have actually heard Jesus speak, but we know that is not going to happen. So the Lord has supplied another way to see and listen to His Word today.
We can see His Words in print in the Bible. They are not just words--ink, printed on the pages of the Bible--but they are the actual inspired Words of God.
God has over the years supplied preachers to preach those Words and explain their meaning for us.
And now we can hear Jesus Words,by way of preaching--the Word of God.
Many today hear them and ignore them, but for those who hear them become faithful to the Lord, and incorporate His Words into their heart and life--and are converted and are saved He blesses.
God has given us a continuous way to understand His Words. Read them over until you do understand them.
Then listen to them through preaching.
ROMANS 10:17 " So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God."(KJV)
Have you seen the Words of God? do you hear His words regularly?
