The Good Samaritan Society – Wagner is nearing the final stages of its much-anticipated renovation project, with resident moveins expected to begin in late November and continue into December, according to Katie Davis, Vice President of Operations for Good Samaritan Society.
“We are excited to be finalizing renovations at Good Samaritan Society – Wagner,” Davis shared. “This includes preparing the building to meet state licensure requirements and welcome residents into a comfortable environment. As we make the finishing touches, we anticipate resident move-ins will begin in late November and continue into December. Due to state licensing requirements, we are unable to provide an exact date for opening at this time; however, we are keeping residents, staff and families informed as we know more.”
The renovation project represents a major investment in the Wagner community and in the future of senior care. Upgrades include a new kitchen and dining area, enhanced flooring, lighting and televisions in resident rooms, and larger, fully renovated bathrooms in all resident suites. Additional improvements feature a refreshed central bathing suite on the 500 wing, a remodeled and relocated nurses station, and updated lounge and chapel spaces to create a more inviting and functional environment for residents and staff alike.
“As a mission-driven, nonprofit organization, we feel a deep sense of responsibility to ensure seniors receive the high-quality care they deserve, now and into the future,” Davis said. “We are proud and honored to bring these essential health care services back to serve the Wagner community and region.”
The Good Samaritan Society continues its commitment to providing compassionate, close-to-home care for seniors in South Dakota’s heartland.
