South Dakota Pheasant Season opens Saturday.

The Avon Fire Department, Avon Ambulance, Bon Homme County Sheriff Department, and the South Dakota Highway Patrol responded to a traffic accident at SD Highway 46 and 406th Ave on October 7.

The Avon Fire Department celebrated Fire Prevention Week.

Lady Pirates won one game and lost three to Bridgewater-Emery.

Carrie Engel and Lois Schaefer spent a week in California with Dale Shaefer and the Ray Weinharts.

A pancake feed will be held Saurday at the Community Hall sponsored by the Meadowview Board.

Mr. and Mrs. Harold Oorlog and Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Mount were on a tour in Transon, MO.

The School District of Myrtle 69, Vilhauer 73, James 55, and Radack 72 are holding elections to join the Avon District.

The Pirates won 32-6 over Bonesteel.

The Junior High won 22-20 over Tyndall.

Mr. and Mrs Fred Reister were vacationing in Arkansas and Oklahoma.

Starting Sunday the NorthVue Café and the Rancho Café will alternate opening on Sunday.
