During Avon's homecoming festivities, the Class of 1965 gathered to celebrate their 60th reunion. It was a joyful time filled with catching up, sharing photos of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and retelling stories. We were a class of twenty-one. As of October 3rd, six of our classmates had passed away, and six more were unable to attend. That left nine of us to gather and celebrate homecoming together–riding in style on a float pulled by a refurbished 1939 IH tractor, driven by Al Jonkers, the husband of one of our classmates. It was with deep regret that we received news of the passing of Diane Fees Borin just six days after the reunion. She will be greatly missed.
