Brett Marcus Newman, 57, went to his Eternal home on Sunday, February 2, 2025 with family by his side. Brett was born in Lake Andes to Dale and Darlene Newman and lived on the family farm.

Eugene Alvin Longe, 79, went to his heavenly home Saturday, February 1, 2025 at Avera St. Benedict Hospital in Parkston. Services were Saturday, February 8 at First Lutheran Church in Lake Andes. Arrangements by Koehn Bros. Funeral Home in Lake Andes.

Colleen Marie Youngbluth of Elberta, Alabama died Thursday January 16, 2025 at the Baldwin Medical Center in Foley, Alabama. Colleen was born on December 12, 1940 to John and Velda Welch in Elk Point and grew up in Lake Andes.

Tyrone Terry Peters was born September 29, 1949 in Wagner to Elmer and Velda (Permann) Peters. He died Wednesday, January 29, at Avera Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton. Tyrone graduated from Wagner High School in 1967. He attended one year of college at the University of South Dakota.

Jeanne Miller, 90, of Centerville, SD, died Thursday, January 30, at Centerville Care and Rehab Center as a result of complications from an infection. Cora Jeanne Miller was born June 26, 1934, to Leslie L. and Dola (Wharton) Kloth in Faulk County, Faulkton, SD.

Ona Mae Ingalls, 85, of Lake Andes, went to her heavenly home Saturday, February 1, at her home in Lake Andes. Funeral service will be Wednesday, February 5 at 10:30 am at First Presbyterian Church in Lake Andes. Ona was born May 31, 1939 to Emil and Frances (Davis) Youngbluth in Wagner, SD.

Dale Loren Soulek, 59, of Wagner, went to his heavenly home Sunday, January 26, at Wagner Community Hospital in Wagner. A memorial service will take place at a later time. Dale Loren Soulek was born September 1, 1965, to Walter and Joyce (Hoeksema) Soulek in Wagner, SD.

Lynda Cooke, 76, of Wagner, died Thursday, January 23 at the Community Memorial Hospital in Wagner. Funeral services are Wednesday, January 29 at 10 a.m. at the Wagner National Guard Armory. Burial is in the Holy Fellowship Episcopal Cemetery, rural Greenwood.

Funeral services for Raymond L. Brandt, 98, of Avon were held Friday, January 17 at Zion Lutheran Church in Avon. Burial was in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, rural Avon.

Shirley Arrow, 69, of Lake Andes died Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at the Community Memorial Hospital in Wagner. Burial was in the Native American Church Cemetery. Peters Funeral Home in Wagner was in charge of arrangements. Shirley Ann Abdo Arrow, Redlightning Woman was born to Joseph Abdo Sr.
