The Avon Pirate football team kicked off their season Friday, August 23rd with an away game at Colman-Egan. The Pirates dominated with a score of 60-38.

Avon Pirates kicked off their season Friday night at Colman-Egan where they dominated taking the win 60-38. In the first quarter Aziah Meyer put two touchdowns on the scoreboard with a 15 yard run and a 49 yard run. The defense did a great job keeping their opponents scoreless.

The season opener for the Avon Pirate cross-country team will be Friday, August 30th when they run in the Beresford Cross-Country Invite. The team is coached by Alexis Jurrens who is in her fifth season of coaching cross-country.

The Lady Pirates kick off their volleyball season on Tuesday, September 3rd with the varsity game starting at 8 p.m. in Parkston. This year’s team has been putting in a lot of time and work in their offseason to get ready for this season.

The 2024-2025 school year for AndesCentralhasanewfaceastheir elementary guidance counselor, Robby Thompson. Robby joins the Andes Central staff as a long-time educator of different grades and types of teaching.

The 2024 Lady Thunder volleyball team will start their season home opener with a match against Bon Homme at Dakota Christian on September 3rd at 7 p.m. The team will also be playing in the Hanson Tournament August 27th and 29th in Alexandria.

The Andes Central cross-country team will kick off their season on Tuesday, September 3rd in Gregory. Beth Harrington returns as Head Coach for the second year. This year’s team is relatively young with only three high school students participating.

The Thunderhawks kicked off their season this past Friday, August 23rd, defeating Bon Homme 26-12. This Friday, August 30th, the Thunderhawks will have a home game against Gregory in Tripp at 7 p.m.

The Lady Raiders kick off their season with a home match against Vermillion this Thursday, August 29th with the varsity game starting at 7:15 p.m.

The cross-country season starts out for the Wagner Red Raiders with the Beresford Invite on Friday, August 30th at 10 a.m. Head Coach for the fourth year, Patrick Belling is assisted by Coach Mieke Slaba. This year’s team has three seniors: Jackson Rolston, Presley Slaba, and Lydia Yost.
