WAGNER SWEEPS AC/DC IN THREE SETS

The Wagner volleyball team traveled to Lake Andes to take on the Thunder on Thursday, October 17th. The Lady Red Raiders won with scores of 2517, 25-14, and 25-18.

WAGNER FALLS SHORT IN FIFTH SET AGAINST PARKSTON

The Wagner Lady Red Raiders hosted the Parkston Trojans for their annual Dig Pink Match on Tuesday, October 15th. It was a great battle but the Red Raiders fell short in the fifth set. Scores of the match were 25-19, 29-31, 16-25, 25-21, and 12-15.

The Wagner High School volleyball team held their annual Dig Pink night on Tuesday, October 15th against the Parkston Trojans.

WAGNER FALLS SHORT OF MAKING STATE

It was a crazy, windy day as the Wagner Cross Country Team stepped onto the running course in Elk Point on Thursday, September 17th. This was the Region Race for The Raiders which is Region 3A. It is a tough region and it showed to be a challenge to The Wagner Cross Country members.

3RD AND 4TH GRADE FLAG FOOTBALL SEASON COMES TO A CLOSE

Avon's 3rd and 4th grade boys had another successful flag football season this year. They were in the 7 on 7 flag football league in Yankton and have played every Saturday for the past 6 weeks, playing two teams every weekend.

LADY PIRATES SWEEP MENNO 3-0

Avon 25 25 25 FA/M 12 17 22 Avon traveled to Marion on Monday, September 30th and earned the win 3-0. Leading the attack was Rilyn Thury with 11 kills, and Lila Vanderlei had 9. LilaVanderleihad15digson the night with Jordyn Voigt 13 and Macy Voigt 8.

BURKE DELIVERS LOSS TO LADY PIRATES

Avon 20 7 8 Burke 25 25 25 Avon hosted BurkeTuesday, October 8 where played some great volleyball but Burke came out with the win. Lila Vanderlei had 11 kills on the night with Rilyn Thury adding 6. Thury had 14 digs, Lila Vanderlei had 10 and Jordyn Voigt added 9.

AVON EARNS THE WIN TO BRING RECORD TO 7-0

Avon hosted Scotland/Menno Friday night where they took the win 58-20. The Pirates started off slow as the 1st quarter ended with a score of 16-14 as Aziah Meyer had a 96 yard run with Al'Shamon Gunter adding the 2-point conversion, and Meyer added a 51 yard touchdown run and 2-point conversion.

LADY THUNDER SUFFER TOUGH LOSSES

Andes Central/ Dakota Christian Thunder traveled to Corsica Monday night, October 7th to take on Corsica/ Stickney where they suffered the tough loss 1-3.

RED RAIDERS ROLL PAST NIGHTHAWKS IN 3 SETS

The Wagner Red Raiders went up against the TDA Nighthawks on Monday, October 7th. The Lady Raiders came away with the win in three straight sets with scores of 25-14, 29-27, and 25-8. Ravyn Medricky led all hitters throwing down 17 kills on the night.
