LADY RED RAIDERS GO 1-3 AT SESD TOURNAMENT

The Wagner volleyball team traveled to Parkston on Saturday, October 26th. In pool play the Lady Raiders faced Mount Vernon/Plankinton first and lost in two sets with scores of 24-26 and 17-25. Next, we faced Bon Homme coming up short in three sets 25-14, 23-25, and 22-25.

LADY RAIDERS FALL TO WARRIORS IN THREE SETS

The Wagner volleyball team traveled to Winner on Tuesday, October 22nd to face the Winner Warriors. Wagner lost in three sets with scores of 11-25, 21-25, and 24-26. Freshman outside hitter Hannah Holzbauer led all hitters throwing down 9 kills, Ravyn Medricky added 7, and Brianna Fuchs had 6.

It seems impossible, but we have just finished the first nine weeks of school! Our fall sports are slowly winding down. Four members of the cross-country team qualified for state and will be competing in Rapid City next weekend.

AVON LADY PIRATES SUFFER LOSS TO CENTERVILLE 2-3

Avon hosted Centerville on Thursday, October 17. Some great volleyball matches were played, going 5 sets, but at the end the Lady Pirates came up short taking the loss 2-3. Kaeli Wallinga led the defense with 2 blocks, Lexi Vanderlei and Lila Vanderlei each had 1 for the night.

PLAYOFFS KICK OFF THURSDAY IN AVON

Avon Pirates hosted Freeman High School Friday night where the boys struggled as they took the loss 26-36. The first quarter found Al'Shamon Gunter with the 23-yard pass for the touchdown, but the team allowed Freeman to score 2 touchdowns to end the quarter 6-14.

THUNDERHAWKS SOAR PAST THE CUBS

At last week’s October 18th Friday night matchup of the Tripp-Delmont/Armour Andes Central/Dakota Christian football team against the Alcester-Hudson Cubs, the Thunderhawks were victorious with a final score of 58-32.

THUNDER CROSS COUNTRY REGION 3 RESULTS

On Wednesday, October 16, the Thunder traveled to Scotland for the Region 3 meet. Girls: (42 girls) 10th Eilie DeHaan 22:31.55 11th Aspen Niewenhuis 22:40.37 28th LaTia DeLange 24:56.77 29th Scarlett Cole 24:57.

THUNDER NATION VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT RESULTS

The AC/DC Thunder volleyball team hosted the Thunder Nation Volleyball Tournament on Saturday where they took home 2nd place, congratulations girls! The first game of the tourney found AC/DC facing off at the net with Colome where they took the win 2-0.

LADY THUNDER SUFFERS A LOSS TO WAGNER

AC/DC hosted Wagner on Thursday night, October 17 where they suffered the tough loss 0-3. Josie Brouwer had 2 kills on the night, with Cami Ronfeldt and Halle Olson each with 1. Madeline Derry had 5 set assists.

RAIDERS ADVANCE TO FOOTBALL PLAYOFFS

On Friday the Red Raiders traveled to Miller to take on the Rustlers. The Raiders were able to come away with a 42-28 win. This win sealed us a playoff spot. We will travel to Mount Vernon on Thursday for round 1!
