The Avon Pirates traveled to Burke on Tuesday, November 5th to start off Region Volleyball action facing off against Andes Central/Dakota Christian. The girls had agreat night to take the win 3-1.

The Avon Pirates traveled to Bonesteel on Thursday, November 7th to take on Burke in Region Volleyball where they suffered the tough loss 0-3 to end their season. Rilyn Thury was dig leader with15,Brielle Voigthad 12 and Lila Vanderlei added 9.

The Andes Central/Dakota Christian girls volleyball season came to a close in Region play at Burke on Tuesday, November 5 as they fell to the Avon Pirates 1-3.

The Lady Red Raiders hosted the Fighting Cougars of McCook Central/Montrose in the first round of region play on Tuesday, November 5th. The Lady Red Raiders swept the Cougars in three straight sets with scores of 25-21, 25-22, and 25-23.

The Lady Red Raiders traveled to Alexandria on Thursday, November 7th to play Hanson in Region 5 action. The Red Raiders battled but came up short in 4 sets with scores of 14-25, 25-21, 17-25, and 22-25.

Avon hosted the Bon Homme Cavaliers on Tuesday, October 29th where they took the win 3-1. From the serve line was Lila Vanderlei, Rilyn Thury, Lexi Vanderlei and Brielle Voigt each with 1 ace serve. Lila Vanderlei had 21 kills for the night with Thury adding 18.

For Andes Central/Dakota Christian (ACDC) senior, Nadia VanZuidam, this was both her first and her last year of cross-country. With this being her first year participating in cross-country, she did not really know what to expect.
