LADY PIRATES BASKETBALL RESULTS

Avon hosted Ethan on Thursday evening, January 9th where the Lady Pirates suffered the loss 31-64. Lila Vanderlei was the only player in double-figures against Ethan with 10 points.

TOUGH WEEK FOR THE PIRATES ON THE COURT

Avon faced off against Ethan at home Thursday, January 9th where the took the loss 47-71. Al'Shamon Gunter and Dominic Doom were the players in double-figures against Ethan with Gunter sinking 22 of Doom 10.

HELLMANN NAMED OUTSTANDING WRESTLER

Seven BHSA girls traveled to Presho to compete in the 34 team “Bride of the Monster” tournament in Presho on January 11. Senior Peyton Hellmann was named Outstanding Wrestler by the coaches.

LADY RAIDERS BASKETBALL ACTION

The Lady Raiders traveled to Ethan to take on the Rustlers last Tuesday night in girls basketball action. The temperature outside would be very, very cold and so would the shooting from both teams.

RAIDERS BASKETBALL ACTION

The Wagner varsity boys basketball team traveled to Ethan Tuesday night and picked up their fourth win in a row. The game was tied up 17-17 after the first period. Late in the second quarter, Wagner went on a small run to take a 39-34 lead into the half.

PIRATES FALL TO RAIDERS

Avon hosted the Wagner Raiders on Friday night, January 3rd. At the end of the first quarter the Pirates were tied 11-11. Wagner came back strong in the beginning of the second quarter but Avon wasn't done yet, and came back to cut the deficit leaving them down only 2 points to end the first half.

HELLMANN AND TOLSMA CHAMPIONS

With all nine wrestlers placing, the Bon Homme/ Scotland/Avon girls won the Floyd Farrand Girls Invitational at Sioux Falls Lincoln on December 30. There were 24 teams participating.
