LADY RAIDERS ADVANCE TO STATE!

The Lady Raiders traveled to Winner for the Sodak 16 to take on the Lakota Tech Tatanka for a berth to the Class A State Tournament. Both teams would come out firing and exchanging baskets only to find Lakota Tech leading 18-17 after the first period.

Results from the SDHSAA State Wrestling Tournament held in Rapid City February 27th through March 1st are: B106 Frank Krcil (38-19) placed 6th and scored 11.0 team points: Champ.

AVON SENIOR CHOIR 'SWEETHEART SERENADES'

On February 13th and 14th the Avon Senior Choir Members held their annual "Sweetheart Serenades" fundraiser. The 15 students traveled to 10 area towns, singing the song "That's What Makes You Beautiful" a total of 48 times.

PIRATES DEFEAT COLOME 77-23

Avon boys earned the win at Colome 77-23 last week. Aziah Meyer, Zander Fathke and Grayson Ratzlaff were the players in double-digits with Meyer scoring 14, Fathke with 13 and Ratzlaff adding 10.

THUNDER GIRLS BASKETBALL ACTION

ACDC GIRLS KICK OFF REGIONS WITH A WIN In their first Region 5 matchup, the AC/DC girls took on the Lower Brule, Lady Sioux last Tuesday, February 25th. Lower Brule tried to keep up but they were no match for the Thunder who kept their lead through every quarter.

WAGNER C AND JV BOYS BASKETBALL TEAMS FINISH REGULAR SEASON

The Wagner C team played its final game of the year Monday against Beresford. The boys fell to the Watchdawgs 34-18. Damien Red Lighting scored a team high 7 points, Gannon Shields added 5, Winston Little Moon and Jeremy Cheyenn each scored 3. The JV boys also finished their year on Monday night.

LADY RAIDERS BASKETBALL ACTION

The Lady Raiders came off their first-round bye in Region 5 girls basketball action last Thursday to take on the McCook Central Montrose Fighting Cougars. The Cougars would take an early 3-0 lead and then the Raiders would go on a 15-0 run and take a commanding first quarter lead of 25-8.
