On Thursday, the Lady Pirates traveled to Yankton to play the Sioux Falls Christian Chargers. The Pirates fell short by a score of 13-1. Macy Voigt, Kaydence Metzger, and Rilyn Thury were on the hill for Avon. The girls pitched well but were hurt by several Pirate errors.

The Avon Lady Pirates are excited for the third year of High School Softball. The Ladies finished 6-12 last year and just missed qualifying for the sweet 16. The Pirates return a strong contingent of players from last year's team.

WAGNER FALLS AFTER STRONG SHOWING BY GAYVILLE-VOLIN Wagner Varsity Red Raiders couldn't keep up with Gayville-Volin Varsity Raiders and fell 12-0 on Saturday.

Wagner Girls Win Both SESD and LMVC Girls Basketball Conferences posting a 5-0 record in the LMVC and a 7-0 record in the SESD. The Wagner girls basketball team place 4 players on the LMVC all-conference team and 3 on the SESD all-conference.

The Gregory Athletics Club hosted the 32nd Annual East-West Shootout on Monday, March 24, 2025, at Gregory Memorial Auditorium. The event features area high school seniors getting together to play a fun and eventful game with their peers from opposing towns.
