PIRATES LOSE IN WALK OFF FASHION TO CASTLEWOOD

The Lady pirates struck first, scoring three runs in the top of the first inning. However, they were stifled for the rest of the game and lost on a walk off single by Castlewood in the bottom of the fifth. Macy Voigt started the game for the Pirates.

VOIGT CONTINUES HOT STREAK AND LEADS PIRATES PAST WINNER

Macy Voigt struck out 11 batters as the starter led Avon past Winner 5-1 on Saturday. Voigt allowed one hit and one run over five innings while walking five. The Pirates got on the board in the first inning after Rilyn Thury homered to center field, scoring two runs.

AVON TOPS ELKTON/LAKE BENTON

Pria Sessler drove in four runs on two hits to lead the Pirates past Elkton/Lake Benton 16-4 on Saturday. Sessler singled in the first inning, scoring two runs, and singled in the fourth inning, scoring two.

PIRATES END SOFTBALL TOURNEY WITH 2ND PLACE TITLE

The Avon Lady Pirates hosted a competitive softball tournament Saturday for a full day of action-packed games. Battling it out on their home field. It was a great day of competition and community spirit.

SOFTBALL TOURNAMENT IN AVON

The Wagner Raiders girls softball team hit the field Saturday at the Avon Tournament, for a day packed with competitive action and mixed results. Facing three teams in a full-day tournament, Wagner showed grit and determination against strong opponents.

WAGNER TRACKSTERS FIRST MEET AT PARKSTON

On Tuesday, April 8, Wagner’s track and field athletes traveled to Parkston to compete in their first meet of the season. BOYS Wagner had two champions this day, both by the boys, and both in field events.

WAGNER TRACK COMPETE AT GREGORY MEET

After a day to recover, the Wagner thin clads got back after it on Thursday, April 10, as they traveled to Gregory to compete in their invitational meet. The boys would be champions of three different events as Parker Petry brought home the gold in the shot put with a heave of 44’ 4”.

YOUTH WRESTLERS FINISH STRONG AT STATE

March 28th – 30th saw 1700 + youth wrestlers from across South Dakota descend upon The Monument in Rapid City for the SDWCA State Youth Tournament. Amongst those 1700 participants were 35 members of the Bon Homme Youth Wrestling club.
Colt Wolf placed 5th in his weight class. Sawyer Bierema placed 3rd in his weight class. Jorden Ratzlaff placed 6th in his weight class.
