Both Betsy, my wife, and I were once registered Democrats. I voted for Kennedy, and I admired his handling of the Cuban Missile Crisis and well as his opposition to involvement in Viet Nam. We felt we were the party of the people as opposed to big business.
The welcome was given by President Pro Tempore Bryan Slaba on Wednesday, November 13th. Pastor Bill Heermann was asked to offer up a prayer. Pastor gave thanks for the beautiful day and was grateful that we were gathered as Rotarians and asked for guidance going about our workday.

The elderly patient came back to our rural hospital
from a hospital in a nearby larger city after having had major surgery and feeding-tube placement. The care from the bigger hospital was superb except that the patient was getting too much nutrient and fluids and was a bit “overloaded.
