Back in my July 12, 2017 column, I wrote that Kelsey Doom, director of Wagner Area Growth, penned a weekly newspaper feature called “Community Spotlight.” She asked the featured personality what they would do if they were given $100,000 to start a new business in Wagner.

Dear Editor: Both Betsy, my wife, and I were once registered Democrats. I voted for Kennedy, and I admired his handling of the Cuban Missile Crisis and well as his opposition to involvement in Viet Nam. We felt we were the party of the people as opposed to big business.
