It’s been nearly a year since I packed a suitcase and flew to our nation’s capital to be sworn in as South Dakota’s lone representative. It was a proud moment for my family and me. I stood on the U.S. House floor, raised my right hand, and swore my oath to the U.S.

Greer Post #11 American Legion held its monthly meeting on December 19, 2019 at the Post Home. Commander Robert Kucera called the members to attention. Chaplain Donald Kotab gave the invocation, which was followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.

Greer Post #11 American Legion met Dec. 19, 2019 with 15 members present and 1 guest. The meeting was called to order by President Juanita Stone. The opening prayer was read by Margie Stone and all recited the Pledge of Allegiance and the Auxiliary Preamble. The minutes were read and approved.

Dear Editor: Was notified that their are new painters in the town of Wagner. No business person needs you paint the sides of our business. Do you kids have parents and did they give you the money to buy the paint or did you steal it from another business?
