SEINER AND EGGERS PROMOTED IN DUAL CEREMONY

It takes a lot of dedication and determination to get promoted to the top ranks in the South Dakota Army National Guard. But recently, two Wagner soldiers achieved that goal and were promoted in a dual ceremony held at the 211th Engineer Company in Madison, SD.

June 25, 2025, was President Jordan Weber’s last meeting as President for our Rotary Year. Jordan rang the Rotary bell, and all members stood to recite the Rotary Prayer. There were no guests for the day, so we went right to singing “The Battle Hymn of the Republic” led by Rotarian Gerrit Juffer.

The Wagner American Legion and Wagner American Legion Auxiliary recently sent delegates to their respective 2025 State Conventions. The annual four-day event was held in Huron on June 19 – 22.

GREER POST #11 AMERICAN LEGION MEETING MINUTES

American Legion Greer Post #11 held its monthly meeting on June 19th, 2025 with 26 Legion members and 3 SAL members in attendance. Paul Weidenbach and Pam Hartman, two Legion Riders from the Scotland area, were also in attendance for the meal.

Monday, June 23 Avon Summer Reading Program continued this week with another amazing visit from our hometown heroes — the EMTs! Avon’s own EMT Liz Brandt read a fun, engaging book and gave the kids a hands-on tour of the ambulance!

JUNIOR LEADERS SPOTLIGHT The Charles Mix County 4-H Junior Leaders Club Treasurer for the 2025-2026 season is Catie Payer. Catie is the daughter of Clay and Traci Payer and resides in Wagner. Catie has been a part of 4-H for two years and she is 10 years old.

4-H HORSE PROJECT MEMBER RESULTS

Charles Mix County 4-H Horse Show was held Wednesday, June 25th at the 7-N Arena in Springfield. The judge for the show was Megan Knievel from Ewing, NE. Charles Mix County had 5 participants.
