WAGNER SHOCKS WINNER AND ADVANCES TO STATE

The Wagner volleyball team traveled to Chamberlain to take on the Winner Warriors in the SoDak 16 matchup. The Red Raiders came out swinging and battled every set finishing strong with a 3-1 win with scores of 25-21, 18-25, 25-16, and 25-13.

Hannah Holzbauer led all attackers throwing down 16 kills, Ashlyn Koupal added 12 kills, and Ravyn Medricky had 10. Braxton Nedved dished out 34 assists in the win. Nedved and Brylie Link were on fire behind the service line tallying 17 points/6 aces and 17 points/3 aces. Holzbauer led the defense snagging 21 digs, Nedved scrapped for 15, and Medricky picked up 13.

Wagner punched their ticket to the state tournament and they will be the 8th seed. The state tournament is November 19th-21st in Rapid City.
