WORKING HARD TO EARN SCHOLARSHIPS AT RECENT BLOOD DRIVE
Students at Wagner High School proved that leadership and generosity go hand in hand during their recent LifeServe Blood Center Scholarship Blood Drive. The team collected 31 units of blood from 28 donors – enough to help up to 93 hospital patients in need.
This drive not only provided lifesaving blood for patients, but also contributed to scholarship opportunities for Wagner High School students. LifeServe’s Scholarship Program rewards schools and student leaders who step up to make a difference, turning community impact into real scholarship dollars with scholarships ranging from $500 to $5000. Blood drives like this show the incredible heart of our students, they’re not just saving lives today – they’re building a legacy of service for our school and our community!

Busting Myths: Too many people sit out blood drives because of outdated myths. “I take medication.” “I’m too old.” “I just got a tattoo.” The truth? Most people CAN donate - and with only 3% of the population donating, we need more people to step up. With travel-related accidents and trauma cases on the rise, your donation could be the difference between life and death for someone right here in our community.
Special Thanks: Life-Serve Blood Center extends its gratitude to Charlene Soukup as well as the Wagner High School staff, students, and volunteers who made this event possible. Your support ensures blood donations stay local, helping patients in our community hospitals.
