WAGNER FALLS TO HANSON IN 4 SETS

The Wagner Volleyball team traveled to Alexandria on Tuesday, October 1 to take on the Beaverettes. The Raiders lost in four sets with scores of 15-25, 20-25, 25-23, and 22-25.

Leading the attack were Ravyn Medricky putting down 12 kills, Hannah Holzbauer added 7 and Adara Hopkins had 4. Braxton Nedved dished out 23 assists in the match. Serving leaders were Brylie Link earning 14 points, Nedved had 5 points/4 aces and Holzbauer 5 points/2 aces. Medricky also led the defense scrapping for 16 digs, Holzbauer picked up 15, and Libby Kotab had 13. Medricky had 6 stops up at then net, Link added 3 and Nedved had 2.

The JV lost in 2 sets with scores of 22-25 and 19-25. Ashtyn Bruguier and Mateya Bruguier each threw down 3 kills while Emma Kreeger and Adara Hopkins each had 2. Setters Mila Hopkins and Kylin had 6 and 5 assists in the match. At the service line, Inkso tallied 6 points/3 aces while M. Hopkins added 4 points/2 aces, and Hayden Knudsen had 6 points. In the back court Knudsen picked up 10 digs, A. Hopkins added 9, and M. Bruguier had 8. M. Bruguier and A. Bruguier each had 1 block in the match.

C team picked up the win with scores of 25-20 and 25-14. Ty’Shay Medicine Bear earned 4 kills while Taelyn Knebel and Tegan Langdeaux each had 3 in the win. Setter Bella Kotab dished out 9 assists on the night. Service leaders were Knebel with 11 points/5 aces and Izzy Myer had 7 points/2 aces. Knebel and Langdeau led the defense each picking up 5 digs, Myer added 4, and Kendra VanDuysen had 3.
