Tyndall Relays

On Tuesday, April 22, Wagner’s track and field team traveled to Tyndall to participate in the Jim Flevares Relays.

Ashlyn Koupal would capture both the high jump and shot put titles at this meet. She jumped 5’ 2” to win the high jump. She tossed the shot a length of 35’ 0” to earn the gold medal in that event.

Grady Bartunek also captured two titles for the boys as he won the

800 meter run in a time of 2:15.13. He would then achieve a personal best in the 3200 run as he captured that event in 10:56.73.

Shea Kjeldgaard won the high jump by clearing a height of 5’8”.

The track team traveled to Mt. Vernon on Friday, April 25, as they participated in the Greenway Relays. There were 19 teams at this meet and some good competition.

BOYS

The boys brought home three gold medals as Brayden Kreber won the long jump with a leap of 19’ 11 ¼”. Shea Kjeldgaard took first in the high jump as he attained a height of 5’ 7”. Javian Pesicka once more threw the javelin a career best with a toss of 152’ 2”.

The rest of the boys placers were: Long Jump: Javian Pesicka- 19’ 9” (3rd), Jesse Zephier- 18’ 1” (8th) Triple Jump: Jesse Zephier- 38’ 4” (5th), Jackson Rolston- 37’ 5 ¾” (6th)
