THUNDERHAWKS DOMINATE BULLDOGS IN HOMECOMING GAME

During the Andes Central homecoming football game against the Burke Bulldogs on Friday, September 20th, the Thunderhawks dominated the field, ending the game at halftime with a final score of 66-7. Isaac Wunder led the Thunderhawks in offense with 102 rushing yards, one touchdown and 53 pass yards. Sabas DeHaan also stepped up for the team with 77 rush yards and one touchdown. With 71 rush yards, one touchdown, 15 receiving yards, and two punt return touchdowns, Jamian Medicine Horn was also an offensive force for the Thunderhawks.

On defense, Jamian Medicine Horn lead the way for the Thunderhawks with three and a half tackles, two fumble recoveries, and one tackle for loss. Medicine Horn was followed by teammate, Riley Spaans who also had three and a half tackles, one tackle for loss and one sack. Garth Maas added two tackles, two tackles for loss and one sack to aid the Thunderhawk defense. There were many players for both the offense and defense that stepped up their game this past week to help the Thunderhawks in their victory against the Bulldogs. The Thunderhawks currently have a 5-0 record on the season.
