The Lady Thunder traveled to Ethan last Tuesday to take on the Rustlers. It was a close game, with Ethan taking the lead in the first and third quarters, but the Thunder rallied and rounded out the fourth quarter with a thrilling one point win, leaving the final score 49-48. ACDC was 18-38 for 47% from the field, and 7-11 for 63% from the line. Leading ACDC with 12 points each were Josie Brouwer and Mahpiya Irving, Brouwer with5 rebounds and 2 steals, and Irving with 3 assists. Also contributing were Nadia Van Zuidam with 9 points and 3 assists, and Halle Olson with 9 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists, and 6 blocks.

THUNDER GIRLS TAKE ON GAYVILLE-VOLIN

ACDC hosted Gayville-Volin on Thursday, December 19 and sent the Raiders home with a loss, holding onto their undefeated status with a season record of 3-0. The Lady Thunder jumped to a quick 21-4 lead in the first quarter, continuing to show off their shooting ability in the following three quarters, climbing to a final score of 53-34. ACDC was 23-46 for 50% from the field, and 3-4 from the line for 75%. Leading ACDC was Halle Olson with 18 points, 11 rebounds, 4 steals, and 5 blocks. Josie Brouwer added 15 points and 11 rebounds, and Gabbie Olson scored 8 points, and grabbed 3 rebounds. The Thunder faced off against Irene-Wakonda at Dakota Christian on Saturday.
