Mrs. Autumn Schultz Fourteen Avon Senior Music Students recently embarked on a jam-packed two-day trip to Omaha, Nebraska, on May 14th and 15th, accompanied by music teachers Autumn Schultz and Joseph Sexe. From Broadway lights to axe throwing and coffee flights to zoo adventures, the group made the most of every moment together shortly after celebrating their graduation. The trip began Wednesday with some shopping to kick off the fun, followed by an exciting axe throwing session that brought out both competitive spirits and lots of laughter. Later, the group dressed up for dinner at a local restaurant, enjoying perfect patio weather and great conversation in a relaxed atmosphere. The highlight of the evening—and perhaps the entire trip—was attending the Broadway sensation Hamilton at the historic Orpheum Theater. The group was thrilled for the performance and ecstatic when they arrived and saw “Welcome Avon School District” displayed on the theater’s marquee—a special and unexpected welcome that made the evening even more memorable (as captured in a submitted photo). Thursday began with something a little different: flights of coffee at a local café, offering a fun and flavorful start to the day. The group then spent several hours at the renowned Omaha Henry Doorly Zoo, exploring exhibits, watching animals and enjoying time together outdoors. To wrap up the trip, students headed to Papillion for an afternoon of fun at an entertainment complex featuring go-karts, mini-golf, trampolines, arcade games and laser tag—a high-energy way to end a great trip. The 2025 Senior Music Trip was more than just a getaway—it was a celebration of the students’ dedication and achievements, and a time to create lasting memories. Congratulations to our seniors, it was a joy organizing such a special experience!
