Wagner Varsity Red Raiders had trouble keeping up with Bon Homme Cavaliers in a 12-3 loss on Monday.

Cavaliers got on the board in the second inning after Reyna Alberts doubled, scoring one run.

Wagner took the lead in the top of the third inning after Shaelee Turner was struck by a pitch, and Bon Homme 5 committed an error, each scoring one run.

Bon Homme Cavaliers made the score 5-2 in the bottom of the third after Addison Reynolds doubled, scoring one run, Kenadee Kozak singled, scoring two runs, and Taryn Crites singled, scoring one run.

Bon Homme scored five runs on four hits in the bottom of the sixth inning. Raelee Lanphear singled, scoring one run, Taryn Crites singled, scoring one run, Olivia Kaul singled, scoring one run, Taycee Ranek singled, scoring one run, and an error scored two runs.

Lydia Yost pitched four and two-thirds innings in relief for the Red Raiders. The reliever surrendered eight hits and eight runs (six earned) while, striking out 10 and walking three. Mara Wright began the game for Wagner. The right-handed pitcher gave up three hits and five runs over two innings, striking out none and walking one. Olivia Kaul led things off in the circle for Bon Homme. The starting pitcher surrendered three hits and two runs over two innings, striking out one and walking three.

Mara Wright and Shaelee Turner were a one-two punch in the lineup, as each drove in one run for Red Raiders. Lydia Yost went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Wagner Varsity Red Raiders in hits.

Bon Homme amassed 11 hits in the game. Taryn Crites led the Cavaliers with three hits in four at bats. Taycee Ranek and Olivia Kaul each collected multiple hits for the Cavaliers and they ran wild on the base paths, tallying six stolen bases for the game.
