RAIDERS FALL TO MOUNT VERNON IN HOMECOMING GAME

By

The Red Raiders hosted Mount Vernon for their Homecoming on Friday, September 13th and took a tough loss with a final score of 6-36. Red Raiders couldn’t get the ball rolling from the start. A couple bright spots from the game were Senior Captain and Homecoming King Hunter Lhotak’s Rushing TD late in the 4th quarter, as well as Carlos Galindo’s early interception. Galindo who normally is on the stat sheet as a receiver, stepped up in the Quarter Back position. He was able to connect through the air with multiple Red Raiders. Frank Soukup, Shea Kjeldgaard, and Slaten Podzimek all with multiple receptions on the night. Multiple Raiders were asked to step up and play different positions on the night. We are proud of the way our athletes filled these roles.

The Red Raiders head to Bridgewater on Friday, September 20th to take on Bridgewater/Emery/Ethan to try to right the ship and get back in the win column!
