RAIDERS BATTLE AGAINST HUSKIES

The Wagner Volleyball team traveled to Elk Point to take on the Huskies on Thursday, October 3rd. The Lady Red Raiders fought hard but came up short with scores of 19-25, 18-25, and 23-25.

Up at the net Ravyn Medricky threw down 10 kills, Hannah Holzbauer added 7 and Adara Hopkins had 4. Setter Braxton Nedved dished out 23 assists on the night. Behind the service line Libby Kotab tallied 7 points, Brylie Link added 5 points, and Nedved had 4 points/2 aces. In the backcourt Kotab scrapped for 19 digs, Medricky added 12, and Holzbauer had 10. Medricky had 4 stops at the net while Link and Mateya Bruguier each had 2.

The JV fell in two sets with scores of 14-25 and 25-27. Mateya Bruguier and Ashtyn Bruguier each had 3 kills in the match. Setters Mila Hopkins and Kylin Insko both racked up 4 assists. M. Bruguier led all servers with 6 points while A. Hopkins and Hayden Knudsen each had 3 points/1 ace. A. Hopkins led the defense picking up 11 digs. M. Bruguier added 6, and M. Hopkins and Insko each had 4. Emma Kreeger put up 2 blocks while M. Bruguier and A. Bruguier each earned 1.

The C team lost in 2 sets with scores of 11-25 and 15-25. Taelyn Knebel had 2 kills in the match. Ty’Shay Medicine Bear earned 3 points/2 aces and Knebel had 3 points/1 ace. Libero Kendra VanDuysen picked up 8 digs.
