The Wagner boys won their opening round post season game Friday night at home against Bon Homme. It took a while for the boys to knock the rusts off after a 2 week break between games. Wagner got behind 7-0 to start the game and were behind 15-11 after the first period. Wagner outscored Bon Homme by 4 points to tie the score 24-24 heading into half time. Wagner outscored the Cavaliers 28-17 in the second half and won the game 52-41. Carlos Galindo led the way with 15 points, he also had 6 assists and 4 rebounds, Preston McFayden scored 14 points and had 5 rebounds, Jesse Zephier added 10 points and 4 assists. Parker Petry scored 8 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, Brady Cournoyer scored 4 points and had 6 rebounds, Ky Arpan scored 1 point for Wagner. The boys will play tomorrow at home against McCook Central Montrose for a chance to go on to the SoDak 16

WAGNER ENDS SEASON VS MCM

The Wagner boys found themselves down 18-2 early in their second- round region game against MCM. The boys struggled to score and get stops. They did not let that get them down, Wagner battled back, they held MCM to just 2 points in the second quarter and had the game tied 24-24 at half time. The size of the Fighting Cougars proved to be too much for Wagner in the second half. MCM won the game 55-38. Jesse Zephier led the team with 11 points and had 3 assist, Parker Petry added 10 points and 8 rebounds, Preston McFayden scored 8 points, Carlos Galindo added 5, Cruise Koupal 3 and Ky Arpan 1 point. The boys end their season 11-11.
