Avon Pirates hosted the Burke Cougars Friday night where took the big win 60-7. The first quarter found Grayson Ratzlaff with a 84 yard kickoff return for 6 and Aziah Meyer had the 2-point conversion. Landon Mudder had a 37 yard interception return to add to the scoreboard with Grayson Ratzlaff adding the 2-point conversion. Meyer completed a 17 yard run for the touchdown with Ratzlaff adding the 2-point conversion. Pirates ended the first quarter strong as Mudder again found his way into the end zone with a 3 yard run and Meyer adding the 2-point conversion to end the quarter 32-7. The second quarter had Meyer with a 58 yard run for the touchdown and an 11 yard run for another touchdown and Mudder adding the 2-point conversion. Mudder had a 5 yard run for the touchdown with Ratzlaff adding the 2-point conversion to the end the first quarter 54-7. The third quarter had Trent Soukup with the 27 yard run to end the scoring attack by the Pirates with the 60-7 win. On the offense, Meyer rushed for 105 yards and 3 touchdowns; Ratzlaff rushed for 55 yards, Soukup rushed for 45 yards and a touchdown; Easton Sees rushed for 29 yards and Mudder rushed for 8 yards and had 2 touchdowns. On the defense, Kahle Hill had 4 tackles and 2 sacks; Ratzlaff had 2 tackles and scored a touchdown on the kickoff return; Meyer had 1 tackle and 1 sack; Mudder, Al'Shamon Gunter, Lance Odens and Randall Powers each had 1 tackle.
