A large crowd attended the first race held at the Randall Valley Racing Assoc. Fifteen Hobbie stocks and six modified cars raced for the $750 purse and trophies on the quarter mile standard track. Jody Vessel was 3rd in the two 10 lap heats in the Hobbie stock division.
Jane Birger and Gerald Evans were united in marriage. Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Schrank observed their 40th wedding anniversary.
