Wagner Waves Swim Team started their season at the James River Valley League Swim Meet in Armour. Wagner took home 14 first place ribbons in relays and 40 first place ribbons in individual events. The Wagner Pee-Wees, Wee-Pees, and Midgets baseball team had several wins over the week. Darla Brandt and Cody Tjeerdsma announced their engagement. Joseph Statsny celebrated his 90th birthday. Ed and Margie Kafka celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary

2005
Heather Archambeau and Robert Lee Borries and Todd Link and Linsay Johannes both announced their engagement. Charlie and Valeria Merkwan celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary. Local contestants competed in the South Dakota State National Barrel Horse Association Championships in Huron. Tyler and Koltin Pazour won in the pee-wee division. Kelli Pazour placed 6th in the average 4-D open championship division, and Kasi Brown placed 8th in the average 3-D open championship division. Karen Brown placed 1st in the average 3-D senior division championship, winning her a saddle, belt buckle and other prizes.

Heidi Coleman was elected to several offices while attending Girls State. Stephanie Soukup placed first in the Wagner Catholic Daughter Education Contest in the poetry division. Her poem received 3rd place in the state level. Floral Impressions and Homestead Ceramics held a ribbon cutting ceremony.

“Face In The Sky” staring Spencer Tracy was the show at Cozy Theatre. A new 4-H handicraft club was organized at the A.Z. Vondracek home. Leo Kaiser moved to Aberdeen. A daughter was born to Mr. and Mrs. Anton Koupal. Lucy Mettel and Robert E. Martin exchanged vows.
