Sun’s out, fun’s out! Kick off your “Summer Fun” in Lake Andes with our 2025 Fish Days celebration June 6, 7 & 8! The highlight of our Fish Day’s fun is the Mr. Carp & Ms. Bullhead contest and ready to compete for the 2025 titles are this year’s candidates. In order for them to achieve this honor, they need your help! Vote for your favorite candidate by tossing some money in their bucket. They will be seen at various events during Fish Days and may have buckets at local businesses. The candidates who raise the most money will be crowned Mr. Carp & Ms. Bullhead Saturday night during the street dance! Your contribution helps pay for the Fish Days events we all love to attend, so please participate in the tradition!

Mr. Carp Candidates Homecoming king AJ Johnson entered the Mr. Carp contest with the intention of winning another crown. With AJ’s competitive spirit, he has already created his strategy to outwit his competition to fill his buckets first! He said the Mr. Carp crown is going to look good on him!

Tony Slaba said it is about time he was picked to compete for Mr. Carp! He has been patiently waiting to not only earn the honorable Mr. Carp title, but to have the chance to bring in more votes than any of the Stulka’s did in the past! Tony knows that Seth & Steve Stulka have some pretty good Mr. Carp stats, but he is sure he will surpass their records with ease! He is ready to show off his crown!

When Hunter Loeffler was approached about running for Mr. Carp, he told us he has been conditioning for this chance for as long as he can remember! When asked how he plans to win, he said “I’m so fast that I will speed in front of my competitors to snatch all the votes available. They won’t have a chance!”. Hunter is tough competition and will surely have his buckets full for Saturday night’s crowning!

Ms. Bullhead Candidates 2022 Miss Fish Days Queen, Emery Bultje is ready for the next big crown! She has already developed the perfect arrangement to attract all the votes she will need to become Ms. Bullhead! Of course, she plans to create a beautiful flower bouquet that will go perfectly with her Ms. Bullhead crown!

When Jocelyn Abdo found out she was a candidate, she was excited about her opportunity for the title! She has already evaluated her competition and reports that she will have no problem gathering all the assistants she needs to collect enough votes by Saturday night to become Ms. Bullhead!

Cayla Nelson is no stranger to winning competitions. She has been waiting for her chance to represent Ms. Bullhead since she was won the National American Miss South Dakota Teen in 2022! Cayla brings many talents to this competition and says the Ms. Bullhead crown will be the perfect addition to her collection!

If you are lucky enough to be chosen for this prestigious honor for Fish Days (or just simply volunteer yourself), you would be helping Lake Andes carry on the tradition of providing a fun filled weekend.
