LADY RED RAIDERS OUTLAST MUSTANGS IN 5 SETS

The Wagner Volleyball team battled the Tri-Valley Mustangs on Saturday, October 5th and came away with the win. Scores of the match were 25-17, 18-25, 23-25, 30-28, and 16-14.

Ravyn Medricky and Hannah Holzbauer led the attack each throwing down 14 kills while Brylie Link and Braxton Nedved each added 8 kills. Adara Hopkins also had 5. Nedved dished out 33 assists in the win. Nedved led all servers with 16 points/3 aces while Medricky tallied 13 points/ 3 aces, Libby Kotab racked up 10 points/2 aces, and Link had 8 points/2 aces. In the back court Kotab scrambled for 29 digs, while Nedved picked up 18, Holzbauer added 14 and Medricky had 8. Up at the net Medricky put up 6 blocks, while Holzbauer and Nedved each had 4. Link also had 2 in the win.

The JV team fell in two sets with scored 16-25 and 2025. Mateya Bruguier led the attack earning 4 kills while Adara Hopkins had 3. Mila Hopkins tallied 4 assists and Kylin Insko had 2. Insko led behind the service line with 5 points and Ashtyn Bruguier had 3 points/2 aces. Insko led the defense picking up 9 digs, Laken Edoff earned 5 digs, and M. Hopkins had 4. Up at the net A. Bruguier put up 3 blocks while A. Hopkins added 2 and M. Bruguier had 1.

The C team lost in 2 sets with scores of 14-25 and 16-25. Tegan Langdeaux led all attackers with 4 kills and Eva Kjeldgaard had 3 in the match. Bella Kotab tallied 8 assists. Ty’Shay Medicine Bear led behind the service line with 3 points/1 ace and B. Kotab had 2 points/1 ace. Kendra VanDuysen scrapped for 9 digs, while Taelyn Knebel picked up 6 digs, Langdeaux added 4, and Kaymari Drapeau had 3.
