The Wagner Volleyball team faced the Platte/Geddes Panthers on Tuesday, September 10th for our homecoming match. The Lady Red Raiders pulled off a back sweep thriller and defeated the Panthers with scores of 23-25, 23-25, 25-20, 25-8, and 15-9.

Leading the attack at the net were outside hitters Ravyn Medricky and Hannah Holzbauer each throwing down 14 kills. Brianna Fuchs added 5 and Brylie Link had 4. Braxton Nedved distributed the ball 31 times in the win. Nedved led behind the service line with 17 points/4 aces, Libby Kotab tallied 12 points/3 aces while Medricky added 10 points/3 aces. Kotab led the defense picking up 29 digs, Holzbauer added 15 while Medricky and Hayden Knudsen each had 12. Medricky and Brianna Fuchs each earned 2 blocks on the night.

The JV team racked up another win with scores of 25-20 and 25-15. Ashtyn Bruguier and Kylin Insko each earned 3 kills while Brianna Fuchs, Emma Kreeger, Mateaya Bruguier and Adara Hopkins all had 2. Insko tallied 5 assists. Mila Hopkins and Hayden Knudsen each added 3 assists in the win. Insko led behind the service line with 13 points/4 aces, M. Hopkins added 5 points/3 aces and Fuchs had 3 points/2 aces. A. Hopkins picked up 8 digs and Knudsen added 7.

The C team also picked up another win with scores of 2520 and 25-20. Ty’Shay Medicine Bear led all hitters with 7 kills and Camry Link added 3. Link dished out 7 assists and Bella Kotab added 2. Link served 7 points/2 aces while Taelyn Knebel added 6 points/2 aces and B. Kotab had 4 points/1 ace. Kendra VanDuysen picked up 4 digs and Link added 3.

A great effort was given at all three levels and what a great win for our homecoming match. Our Wagner Volleyball team wants to congratulate our homecoming royalty King Hunter Lhotak and Queen Presley Slaba. Go Raiders!
