Avon Varsity Lady Pirates scored 12 runs in the second inning on the way to victory. Avon added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning after Brandt was struck by a pitch, and Jordyn Voigt singled to right field, each scoring one run. The Pirates collected 13 hits in the game. M. Voigt drove the middle of the lineup, leading Lady Pirates with four runs batted in. The number three hitter went 1-for-2 on the day. Thury, M. Voigt, and J. Voigt each collected multiple hits for Avon Varsity Lady Pirates. Thury, Voigt, Sessler, and Voigt each stole multiple bases for the Lady Pirates. Kaydence Metzger was on the hill. The hurler surrendered two hits and two runs over three innings, striking out six and walking one.
