MARK 19:45 "For even the son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many."(KJV)

What is Jesus saying about Himself ?

He is saying that He did not come to this world to have some one teach to Him the things that He already knows.

He is the Son of Man and the Son of God, there is nothing that could possibly be taught that He didn't know before others attempted to teach Him.

But His real reason was to be the teacher Himself. His time here on Earth was to be spent in teaching all about God the Father's love for all that He created. To teach of His mercy and forgiveness of man's sins, if he would repent of those sins. He also taught that for a person to get to heaven they must first believe in Jesus, that He is the Son of God, that He died and rose again alive after being three full days and three full nights sealed in a borrowed tomb.

That by His death He became a complete sacrifice, He was sinless, but became sin for us. He paid for sins punishment for all sin and paved the way to heaven by His own shed blood. Thus giving all whobelieve,repentandreceiveforgiveness,eternal life with Him in heaven forever.

He gave his life a ransom for many.

He willingly paid the price for our sins, for our forgiveness, for our eternal life with Him in heaven.

That was His mission, called out by God the Father in order for Him to offer man a chance to turn away from unrighteousness (or a sinful life) to a God blessed righteous life.

He took His Father's commission of dying to save souls, willingly out of love for all mankind.

Now it is up to us to accept the commission to do as stated in MATTHEW 28:19,20; "Go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost: teaching them to observe all things what so ever I have commanded you: And lo, I am with you alway even unto the end of the world."(KJV)

Have you accepted His commission, and are you doing what He wants done?
