M ATTHEW 5: 13-18

Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savior, wherewith shall it be salted? It is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and be trodden under foot of men.

Ye are the light of the world, a city that is set on a hill cannot be hid.

Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick, and is given light unto all that are in the house.

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify yourfather, whichisinheaven.

Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill.

For verily I say unto you, till heaven and earth pass, one jot oronetitleshallinnowisepass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

When you are saved, you have received. The most gracious gift God is willing to give to you. Sins forgiven and promiser of eternal life.

Having received the gift of salvation is something to be grateful for. So grateful that you will want to tell others.

You were in the darkness of sin and now you are in the light of the Lord. You would not conceal a gift given to you by someone else, so now receiving the freer pardon of sin should be more the matter to share this gift with others Let your light so shine so that others know that you have turned to the Lord and are willing to tell others how they can be saved.

Be sure that your light in Christ is not hidden like a candle under a bushel, let it shine for others to see.

Are you letting it shine?
