P ROVERBS 28:13 'He that covereth his sin shall not prosper but he that confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.'

A person that covereth his sins is one who lives a life of a lie.. Outwardly looking on him or watching him a person would not know what this person in really like. As he continues to live this lifestyle he will eventually make some outward mistake which will affect his life so bad, that he hopefully thought that his open personality would gain for him.

But there is a person who realizes his outward life of cheating was hindering him as he recognizes that he has been living in sin, confesses his sinful lifestyle and turns from it and forsaketh all that he had done, finds that God will show him mercy.

This generally comes as a person--turns his life over to God at the time of his salvation God will change this person's life from a life of sin, to a life of grace, guided by the Holy Spirit.

Old things will pass away and new things will become real in his life.

Those, who knew him before he was saved, will surely recognize that the Lord has changed him. God's mercy had prevailed in his life.
