WHERE DOES JESUS FIT?
MATTHEW 16: 13-16 "When Jesus came into the Coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of Man am? And they said, some say that Thou art John the Baptist; some Elias, and others Jeremiahs, or one of the prophets. He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?
And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the Living God."KJV
We see in this scripture that Simon Peter did answer His question right.
Today we find that there are oh so many different descriptions of Jesus that many are confused or are just turned away because of them.
Some say He was a very just man who was treated wrongly.
Some say that Jesus was just another man who claimed to be Jesus.
Some say that Jesus was a good teacher and others still say He was a blasphemer because He said He was the Son of God.
Yet others get it right, Jesus is the son of God.
Who was with the Father at the time of creation, He was referred to as "The Word"which was spoken by the Father. Jesus is Equal to the Father and the Holy Spirit in the Triune God head.
Who is Jesus to you?
Is He your personal Savior? Is He the One that died for your sins? Is He the One Who promised to come back for you some day? Is He the One Who obediently followed the Father's wishes to seek and to save that which was lost? Is He the One who said, "I am the Way the Truth and the Life, no man cometh to the Father but by me"? Is He the One Who requests of us, our love, honor and service?
If He is all these things to you, are you living daily as if you believe all these things or do they slip your mind?
We must be faithful to Him as He died for us.
He should be first on your mind all day and not just thought of when in need.
We are not expected to not love our family--but we are expected to love Him more.
Think to yourself---where does Jesus fit in your everyday life?
