PHILIPPIANS 4:11 "Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content."(KJV)
1TIMOTHY 6:6 "But godliness with contentment is great gain."(KJV)
HEBREWS 13:5 "Let your conversation be without covetousness: and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee."(KJV)
Today we hear alot about how bad things are. Health, finances, and so on. But scripture indicates that Christians should not fall into the negative life-style of everyone around us.
All you hear in the media, TV, radio, newspapers is what people are saying could happen, may happen, might happen, and so on, but no one knows the future and what it holds. These reports are made to bring fear upon people who will listen to them.
First off only God knows what the future holds because He is in charge of it.
Christians are told to be content with what they have. Content means happy.
We are not to worry about what might happen, but are to be content with what God is doing for us now.
As Christians we are the children of God, whom He loves and cares for.We are the one's He is coming back for. We are the one's that He has forgiven and promised eternal life.
Whatever goes on around us we can be sure God knows all about it.
It is not for us to be troubled over what is said because God has said unto us in His scripture in HEBREWS 13:5 " I (God) will never leave thee, nor forsake thee."(KJV)
So rather than worry, we should rejoice in all that we have now as we do know in God's house it will be better that we can imagine.
Think positive, for negative thinking only brings about negative things.
So just love, honor and serve God and be content.
