HAS HE MOVED YOURS?

PSALM 103:8-12 “The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy. He will not always chide (scold; blame; rebuke) neither will He keep His anger forever. He hath not dealt with us after our sins: nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. For as heaven is high above the earth, so great is His mercy toward them that fear Him. As far as the East is from the West, so far hath He removed out transgressions from us.”(KJV)

This scripture helps us to understand how wonderful God is toward us.

Even as we sin against Him, He doesn’t hold a grudge, or resentment or malice against us. He is plenteous in mercy.

He does not hold out blessings from us because He knows we are human and are subject to sin against Him as our sinful nature is present. For those who fear(or love) Him, He is extremely forgiving.

As heaven is high above the earth is explaining to us, no matter how hard you try or scientists and space programs are no matter how far out into space they travel they will never get high enough to physically reach up to heaven, this in indicating a very very long way.

Then scripture says, as far as the East is from the West, so far has He removed our transgressions from us is saying, that if He removed (or threw) our sins from the East to the West they would eventually return to us, but when He says the East from the West, they continue to go away and never return.

This is how God looks upon our sins that are repented of and confessed to Him. He forgives them and removes them so far away that they are not remembered by Him ever again. His mercy sends them away as high as heaven is above the earth and as far as the East is from the West.

In other words when God forgives He forgets the confessed sins, never to ever be brought up to us again. not now or even in eternity.

We are to take what God does as an example. Forgive as we forgive others, forgive and forget. We must learn to be merciful as He is merciful.

We need to be gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy and forgiveness as He is.

Has He removed yours?
