BEWARE OF THE LEAVEN
MARK 8:13-15 “And he left them, and entered into the ship again and departed to the other side. Now the disciples had forgotten to take bread, neither had they in the ship with them more than one loaf. And he charged then , saying, Take heed, beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, and the leaven of Herod.”(KJV)
Now since the disciples had not brought bread aboard the ship that they assumed Jesus was speaking of the bread they did not bring.
In all cases when Jesus told the folks to sacrifice he always said to use unleavened bread when leaven was mixed into the bread it swelled up such as yeast does in bread today.
But Jesus wasn’t speaking of the bread they didn’t bring along but was speaking of a totally different subject. “ Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and the levan of Herod.”. The teachings of the Pharisees and Herod were contrary to the teachings of Jesus Christ.
Basically Jesus was saying beware of false teachings, false doctrines which could slip in and cause doubt about the teachings of Jesus.
This is why I use the Jing James 1611 Bible.
Others have been printed that have words missing,in some cases even whole verses are left out, others have put new words in the printing and still claim to be God’s Word. This shouldn’t be!!
MATTHEW 5:8 “For verily I say unto you, till heaven and earth pass, not one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.”(KJV)
11 TIMOTHY 3”16 “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, And is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.”(KJV)
Now others who think they can do a better job of giving us the full complete and every word of God have been warned not to do it- but they did it anyway.
The warning comes from the Book of Revelation Revelation 22:18,19 “ For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, if any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book. and if any man shall take away from the words of this book, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the Holy City, and from the things that are written in this book.”(KJV)
Jesus told his disciples to” beware of the leaven of the Phesisees and the leaven of Herod.” He is by the same instruction telling us to beware of false teachings- and uninspired and re-written bibles which have words left out--take away, and words inserted--added to.
By using the KJV1611 we are aware of the leaven of the other books--claiming to be the Bible. Thus we can worship the Lord with His Words His way.
Do you use the only book without leaven?
